Gamba Osaka

Gamba Osaka was one of four clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). In addition to Gamba Osaka, 36 other teams from 13 different countries played in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Gamba Osaka could be found in Group 3 together with AIK FF, Aberdeen FC and IFK Göteborg. Gamba Osaka continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against TikiTaka Academy with 0-1. In the Final, Right to Dream won over TikiTaka Academy and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). Gamba Osaka comes from 3-10-15 Hongo, Bunkyo which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Gamba Osaka, the club J-L Juniors does also originate from the area around 3-10-15 Hongo, Bunkyo.
