Mälarhöjdens IK

Mälarhöjdens IK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Mälarhöjdens IK, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Mälarhöjdens IK could be found in Group 10 together with Bossekop UL, VfR Bachem and Entente Sannois Saint Gratien. Mälarhöjdens IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kungsladugårds BK with 1-4. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Mälarhöjdens IK also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Walddörfer SV with 5-6. Mälarhöjdens comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Hanvikens SK, Enskede IK, Hammarby IF FF, Bollstanäs SK, Danderyds SK, Älta IF, Enebybergs IF, Ekerö IK, Huddinge IF and Ingarö IF).
