IFK Uppsala

IFK Uppsala was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to IFK Uppsala, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof IFK Uppsala could be found in Group 15 together with Project Playground FC, Norrby IF and SuS Kaiserau. IFK Uppsala continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Entente Sannois Saint Gratien with 0-1. In the Final, Entente Sannois Saint Gratien won over Örgryte IS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. IFK Uppsala also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/16 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against IS Halmia with 1-2. IFK Uppsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Bälinge IF, Storvreta IK, IK Sirius FK, Sunnersta AIF, Vaksala SK, Håbo FF, Storvreta/Ärentuna, Gamla Upsala SK, Upsala IF and SK Iron).
