Melleruds IF

Melleruds IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Melleruds IF, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Melleruds IF could be found in Group 6 together with CD Mercedarios, Gideonsbergs IF and Concordia Eschersheim. Melleruds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against ASRC Alytus with 0-3. In the Final, Pequeninos do Jockey won over Lizzy Football Club and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Melleruds comes from Mellerud which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mellerud does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Vänersborgs IF and Eds FF).
