Hong Kong FC

Hong Kong FC was one of two clubs from Hong Kong, China that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Hong Kong FC, 215 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Hong Kong FC could be found in Group 21 together with Phoenix Football Academy, Karlslunds IF HFK 2 and Lindome GIF. Hong Kong FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against FK Karlskrona 1 with 1-3. In the Final, Pequeninos do Jockey won over Lizzy Football Club and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Hong Kong FC comes from Hong Kong which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Hong Kong FC, the club Special Olympics Hong Kong does also originate from the area around Hong Kong.
