Åhus IF

Åhus IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Åhus IF, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Åhus IF could be found in Group 18 together with Åkersberga BK, Amiens Picardie FC and Skultorps IF. Åhus IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-17. In the Final, Team Odense Q won over FC Djursholm and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Åhus comes from Åhus which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åhus does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Åhus Horna BK, Åsums BK, Nosaby IF, IFK Knislinge, Vinslövs IF and Mjällby AIF).
