Malmslätts AIK

Malmslätts AIK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Malmslätts AIK, 77 other teams from 16 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Malmslätts AIK could be found in Group 17 together with FC Staffanstorp, Kungsbacka DFF, KFV Segeberg and Greve Fodbold. Malmslätts AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 5:th place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Storfors AIK with 0-3. In the Final, FC Djursholm won over Greve Fodbold and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Malmslätts AIK comes from Linköping which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Linköping does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: BK Derby, Mjölby Södra IF, Tallboda IF, Mantorps FF, Åtvidabergs FF, Stångebro United, Borens IK, Mjölby AI/FF, Mjölby FC and Linköpings FC).
