Skövde AIK

Skövde AIK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Skövde AIK, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Skövde AIK could be found in Group 12 together with FK Lillehammer, FC Este 2012 and University of Pretoria 1. Skövde AIK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Örgryte IS with 5-6. In the Final, Entente Sannois Saint Gratien won over Örgryte IS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Skövde AIK comes from Skövde which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skövde does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Sils IF, IFK Skövde FK, Skövde KIK, IFK Mariestad, Falköpings KIK, IFK Tidaholm, Tidaholms GIF, IFK Falköping FF, Johannesbergs LIF and Skara FC).
