Uppåkra IF

Uppåkra IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Uppåkra IF, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Uppåkra IF could be found in Group 23 together with Paimion Haka, FC Djursholm, Selånger FK and Tromsø IL. Uppåkra IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Skultorps IF with 1-3. In the Final, TGK Worcestershire won over Gideonsbergs IF Vit and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Uppåkra comes from Hjärup which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hjärup does also provide 40 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
