Gransholms IF

Gransholms IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Gransholms IF, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Gransholms IF could be found in Group 38 together with KA 1, Match Fit Academy and IFK Skövde FK 2. Gransholms IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 38. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against TSV Altenholz with 0-1. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Gransholms comes from Gemla which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gemla does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Räppe GoIF, Virestad IF, Sandsbro AIK, Växjö DFF, Alvesta GIF and Växjö BK).
