Dalby GIF

Dalby GIF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Dalby GIF, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Dalby GIF could be found in Group 41 together with SC Vier- und Marschlande Hamburg, BK Häcken 1 and Breidablik 5. Dalby GIF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 41. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Pequeninos do Jockey with 0-4. In the Final, Pequeninos do Jockey won over Lizzy Football Club and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Dalby GIF also participated in Boys 13 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/16 Final in B13 Play off A, but lost it against FC Bangkok with 2-3. Dalby GIF comes from Dalby which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Dalby does also provide 35 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
