Bjärreds IF

Bjärreds IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Bjärreds IF, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Bjärreds IF could be found in Group 25 together with Iskmo-Jungsund BK, Amiens Picardie FC and Oppsal IF 2. Bjärreds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Karlslunds IF HFK with 0-2. In the Final, Entente Sannois Saint Gratien won over Örgryte IS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Bjärreds comes from Bjärred which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bjärred does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
