Irsta IF

Irsta IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Irsta IF, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Irsta IF could be found in Group 8 together with KL Youth Soccer, Rotebro IS FF and ASRC Alytus. Irsta IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Åsums BK with 0-4. In the Final, Match Fit Academy won over Footgeneration FA Algarve and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Irsta comes from Västerås which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Västerås IK, Skiljebo SK, Eskilstuna City FK, Dingtuna GIF, Västerås SK Ungdom, Västerås BK 30, Västerås SK, Västerås BK30, Triangelns IK and Eskilstuna United DFF).
