Fløya IF

Fløya IF was one of 59 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Fløya IF, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Fløya IF could be found in Group 15 together with Galatasaray Lisesi, Kungsbacka DFF and Asarums IF/FK. Fløya IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against SG Borken e.V. with 0-2. In the Final, Enskede IK won over Alemannia Aachen and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Fløya comes from Tromsø which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tromsø does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Tromsø IL and Ishavsbyen FK).
