AFD Torre

AFD Torre was one of 7 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to AFD Torre, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof AFD Torre could be found in Group 12 together with Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School, Ale United and Åre SLK. AFD Torre continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Walddörfer SV 1 with 0-4. In the Final, AC Ajaccio won over CO Vincennes and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. AFD Torre comes from Cascais which lies approximately 2600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than AFD Torre, the club Colégio Atlantico does also originate from the area around Cascais.
