Bordeaux Elite FC

Bordeaux Elite FC was one of 22 clubs from France that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Bordeaux Elite FC, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Bordeaux Elite FC could be found in Group 11 together with CCL Soccer Club, Mantorps FF and IK Zenith. Bordeaux Elite FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against ED Moratalaz with 4-5. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Bordeaux Elite FC also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/32 Final in B15 Play off A, but lost it against Eimsbütteler TV with 3-4. Bordeaux Elite FC comes from Mérignac which lies approximately 1700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mérignac does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Blagnac and FC Bordeaux Aquitaine).
