FC Staffanstorp

FC Staffanstorp was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to FC Staffanstorp, 77 other teams from 16 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof FC Staffanstorp could be found in Group 17 together with Malmslätts AIK, Kungsbacka DFF, KFV Segeberg and Greve Fodbold. FC Staffanstorp continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Borgeby FK with 0-3. In the Final, Borgeby FK won over Gasteizko Neskak and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. FC Staffanstorp also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in G15 Play off A, but lost it against ASD Femminile Inter Milano with 0-2. FC Staffanstorp comes from Staffanstorp which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Staffanstorp does also provide 38 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
