Goal Girls

Goal Girls was one of 11 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 11. In addition to Goal Girls, 17 other teams from 3 different countries played in Girls 11. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Goal Girls could be found in Group 1 together with AIK FF F06 Akademi, IFK Göteborg, IK Zenith and Onsala BK 2. Goal Girls continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Sävedalens IF with 1-4. In the Final, IF Väster won over Sävedalens IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 11. Goal Girls comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MEXICO does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (CA Intercups Mexico, A.S. México, CLUB REFORMA, Club España, Sherwood and Academy Elite).
