Hässleholms IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Hässleholms IF, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Hässleholms IF could be found in Group 34 together with Skjetten Fotball, FC Golden State and FK Karlskrona. Hässleholms IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against FBK Karlstad with 0-1. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Hässleholms comes from Hässleholm which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hässleholm does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: IFK Osby, Wisseltofta IF, Markaryds IF, IFK Hässleholm, Råstorp/Timsfors IF, Åsums BK, Nosaby IF, IFK Knislinge, FC Hessleholm and Vittsjö GIK).
