Virestad IF Komb

Virestad IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Virestad IF, 137 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof Virestad IF Komb could be found in Group 13 together with IF Warta, F.C. Beirut and Prep School Lions 3. Virestad IF Komb continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Jonsereds IF with 6-7. In the Final, Antiguoko won over Coerver Coaching Tunisie and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Virestad comes from Virestad which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Virestad does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IFK Osby, Älmhults IF, Ljungby IF, Tingsryd United FC, Alvesta GIF, Växjö BK and Gransholms IF).
