Åsums BK

Åsums BK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Åsums BK, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Åsums BK could be found in Group 11 together with Guldhedens IK, Mullsjö IF and Lizzy Football Club. Åsums BK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Footgeneration FA Algarve with 0-7. In the Final, Match Fit Academy won over Footgeneration FA Algarve and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Åsums comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kristianstad does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Åhus Horna BK, IFK Hässleholm, Åhus IF, Nosaby IF, IFK Knislinge, FC Hessleholm, Vinslövs IF, Hässleholms IF and Mjällby AIF).
