Sils IF

Sils IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sils IF, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Sils IF could be found in Group 3 together with Mölndal Fotboll, Charterhouse School and Santa Fe. Sils IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Bossekop UL with 1-2. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Sils comes from Götene which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Götene does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IFK Skövde FK, Skövde KIK, IFK Mariestad, Johannesbergs LIF, Skövde AIK, Skara FC, Skultorps IF, Våmbs IF, Lidköpings FK and Skövde KIK/Våmb).
