Palo Alto Soccer Club

Palo Alto Soccer Club was one of 50 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Palo Alto Soccer Club, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Palo Alto Soccer Club could be found in Group 2 together with Örgryte IS, Ishavsbyen FK and ACBB Paris. Palo Alto Soccer Club continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against University of Pretoria 2 with 4-5. In the Final, Project Playground FC won over FK Lillehammer and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Palo Alto Soccer comes from Palo Alto which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Palo Alto does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (DeAnza Force North, FORCE North Soccer Club and FORCE Soccer Club).
