EFF Abu Dhabi

EFF Abu Dhabi was one of five clubs from United Arab Emirates that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to EFF Abu Dhabi, 130 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof EFF Abu Dhabi could be found in Group 22 together with Mölnlycke IF, S. Lanzarote and Aalborg Chang. EFF Abu Dhabi continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against University of Pretoria 2 with 1-2. In the Final, Project Playground FC won over FK Lillehammer and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. EFF Abu Dhabi comes from Abu Dhabi which lies approximately 5000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
