Umedalens IF

Umedalens IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Umedalens IF, 98 other teams from 6 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Umedalens IF could be found in Group 10 together with Djurgårdens IF, Lillehammer KFK 2 and IF Väster/Näset. Umedalens IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Hammarby IF FF with 0-7. In the Final, AIK FF won over Hammarby IF FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Umedalens comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Mariehem SK, IFK Umeå, Umeå IK FF and Gimonäs Umeå IF).
