KVE Drongen was the only club from Belgium that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to KVE Drongen, 179 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof KVE Drongen could be found in Group 16 together with Elite Soccer, Ramlösa Södra FF, Lerums IS and Tonbridge School. KVE Drongen continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Sandarna BK with 4-6. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. KVE Drongen comes from Drongen which lies approximately 920 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
