FC Kaunitz

FC Kaunitz was one of 69 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to FC Kaunitz, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof FC Kaunitz could be found in Group 39 together with C.A. River Plate, IF VP Uppsala and IFK Östersund. FC Kaunitz continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 39. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Trollhättans FK with 3-4. In the Final, AC Ajaccio won over CO Vincennes and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. FC Kaunitz comes from Verl which lies approximately 690 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Verl does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (SV Lippstadt 08 and BV Werther).
