Tramway FC

Tramway FC was one of 7 clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Tramway FC, 173 other teams from 36 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Tramway FC could be found in Group 20 together with IF Väster 2, Prep School Lions 3 and Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld. Tramway FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Academy with 1-9. In the Final, Lizzy Football Club won over SC Nienstedten and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. Tramway FC comes from Cape Town which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Cape Town does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (The Rainbow Team, Lifezone Cape Town and Project Playground FC).
