Alingsås KIK

Alingsås KIK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to Alingsås KIK, 46 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 11 different groups, whereof Alingsås KIK could be found in Group 5 together with Örby IS 1, FORCE Soccer Club and Rödsle BK. Alingsås KIK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Toronto High Park FC Red with 0-2. In the Final, Boo IS won over IF Brommapojkarna and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. Alingsås KIK comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 40 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 30 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Backatorp IF, IK Kongahälla, Sävedalens IF, IF Elfsborg, HUS, Stenkullen GoIK, Hisingsbacka FC, Lerums IS, Holmalunds IF and Grunden Bois).
