Almada Foot

Almada Foot was one of 7 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Almada Foot, 179 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Almada Foot could be found in Group 2 together with Euro Sports Brasil, Hisingsbacka FC and BK Flagg. Almada Foot continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Cap Jeune 31 with 0-5. In the Final, Cap Jeune 31 won over V. Frölunda IF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Almada Foot comes from Rua de Dentro nº2 4ºDTº which lies approximately 2500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Almada Foot, the club Piao Pires FC does also originate from the area around Rua de Dentro nº2 4ºDTº.
