Kvarnsvedens IK

Kvarnsvedens IK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Kvarnsvedens IK, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Kvarnsvedens IK could be found in Group 29 together with Tynecastle Football Club, VfL Westercelle, Sel RED and Gunnared KIF. Kvarnsvedens IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 29. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lindome GIF with 1-2. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Kvarnsvedens comes from Borlänge which lies approximately 370 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borlänge does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Brage, IK, Dalkurd FF and Ornäs BK).
