Barry Comprehensive School

Barry Comprehensive School was the only club from Wales that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Barry Comprehensive School, 179 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Barry Comprehensive School could be found in Group 9 together with Pro Direct Soccer Academy, IFK Viksjö and CD Inter Vista Alegre. Barry Comprehensive School continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Osby with 4-5. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Barry Comprehensive School comes from Cardiff which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
