SG-97

SG-97 was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to SG-97, 179 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof SG-97 could be found in Group 30 together with St Johns School, Ordin FC and Tyresö FF. SG-97 continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 30. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Etne IL with 1-3. In the Final, Phoenix Football Academy won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. SG-97 originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 66 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Kungsbacka DFF, Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK and Särö IK).
