Sjömarken/Sandareds IF

Sjömarken/Sandareds IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Sjömarken/Sandareds IF, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Sjömarken/Sandareds IF could be found in Group 27 together with FK Lillehammer 1, IK Sirius FK U14 and One World Football Academy. Sjömarken/Sandareds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against FK Karlskrona 1 with 4-5. In the Final, Pequeninos do Jockey won over Lizzy Football Club and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Sjömarken/Sandareds IF also participated in Boys 13 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in B13 Play off A, but lost it against Oppsal IF 1 with 1-2. Sjömarken/Sandareds comes from Sandared which lies approximately 53 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandared does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Alingsås KIK, IF Elfsborg, HUS, Stenkullen GoIK, IFK Örby, Lerums IS, Holmalunds IF, Kinna IF, Gerdskens BK and Norrby IF).
