Romelanda UF

Romelanda UF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Romelanda UF, 173 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof Romelanda UF could be found in Group 25 together with Prep School Pumas 2, Athletico SC 2 and Academy. Romelanda UF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Örgryte IS 2 with 4-6. In the Final, Footgeneration FA Algarve won over IF Elfsborg and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Romelanda UF also participated in Boys 11 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/32 Final in B11 Play off B, but lost it against Euro Soccer Academy 1 with 2-3. Romelanda UF comes from Kungälv which lies approximately 24 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kungälv does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Alingsås KIK, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Orust Fotboll, Lunden ÖBK and Sävedalens IF).
