IF Hallby

IF Hallby was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to IF Hallby, 77 other teams from 16 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof IF Hallby could be found in Group 6 together with Mankato United Fire, IF Böljan and Herlufsholm GF. IF Hallby continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against CCL Soccer Club with 0-4. In the Final, Borgeby FK won over Gasteizko Neskak and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Hallby comes from Jönköping which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Jönköping does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Husqvarna FF, Habo IF, Mullsjö IF, Bankeryds SK, Jönköpings Södra IF and Råslätts SK).
