IFK Mariestad

IFK Mariestad was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to IFK Mariestad, 173 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 42 different groups, whereof IFK Mariestad could be found in Group 8 together with Hipica Campinas, Pershagens SK and Currie Star FC 3. IFK Mariestad continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Footgeneration FA Algarve with 1-3. In the Final, Footgeneration FA Algarve won over IF Elfsborg and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. IFK Mariestad comes from Mariestad which lies approximately 150 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mariestad does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Sils IF, IFK Skövde FK, Skövde KIK, Johannesbergs LIF, Skövde AIK, Våmbs IF and Skövde KIK/Våmb).
