Hönö IS/B

Hönö IS/B was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Hönö IS/B, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Hönö IS/B could be found in Group 2 together with Assega Sports Academy, Shimizu S-Pulse and Södra Sandby IF. Hönö IS/B continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against BK Höllviken with 1-2. In the Final, Las Vegas Sports Academy won over ED Moratalaz and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Hönö IS/B comes from Hönö which lies approximately 19 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hönö does also provide 70 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FT14, Lindome GIF, Jitex Mölndal BK, Hisingsbacka FC, Mossens BK, Dalen/KFF, Örgryte IS, Näsets SK, Tölö IF and Solängens BK).
