Skonto FC

Skonto FC was one of four clubs from Latvia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). In addition to Skonto FC, 35 other teams from 12 different countries played in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Skonto FC could be found in Group 5 together with Örebro SK, Right to Dream and Djurgårdens IF. Skonto FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IF Elfsborg with 0-3. In the Final, IF Elfsborg won over Helsingborgs IF and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). The area around does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (JDFS Alberts and SKF Latvija).
