Vilaverdense FC

Vilaverdense FC was one of 7 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Vilaverdense FC, 48 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Vilaverdense FC could be found in Group 2 together with LB07, Älvsjö AIK FF 2 and Göteborgs DFF. Vilaverdense FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IK Zenith with 2-3. In the Final, LB07 won over IK Zenith and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18.
