J-L Juniors

J-L Juniors was one of two clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to J-L Juniors, 224 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof J-L Juniors could be found in Group 2 together with Eimsbütteler TV, Gimonäs Umeå IF and AIK FF P01. J-L Juniors continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against ASIOP Apacinti with 1-2. In the Final, ASIOP Apacinti won over IF Elfsborg and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. J-L Juniors comes from Tokyo which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
