Typhoon FC

Typhoon FC was one of 43 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Typhoon FC, 48 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Typhoon FC could be found in Group 6 together with FJSG Bederkesa, Fortuna FF/Hittarps IK and Lindome GIF. Typhoon FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Skövde KIK with 0-1. In the Final, IFK Örby won over Smedby AIS and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Typhoon FC comes from South Portland which lies approximately 5600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
