Våg FK

Våg FK was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Våg FK, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Våg FK could be found in Group 46 together with Kungsbacka IF, FC Gessel-Leerssen, Sioux South Diablos and Asarums IF/FK. Våg FK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 46. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kiruna FF with 6-8. In the Final, Las Vegas Sports Academy won over ED Moratalaz and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Våg FK comes from Kristiansand which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Våg FK, the club Randesund IL does also originate from the area around Kristiansand.
