IFK Uppsala

IFK Uppsala was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to IFK Uppsala, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof IFK Uppsala could be found in Group 11 together with Phoenix Football Academy, Näsets SK and Top Stars FC. IFK Uppsala continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IS Halmia with 1-2. In the Final, BK Häcken won over JFV Hanse Lübeck and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. IFK Uppsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Sunnersta AIF, Storvreta IK, Gamla Upsala SK, Vaksala SK, Alsike IF, IK Sirius FK, Upsala IF, Märsta IK, Funbo IF and Uppsala Kurd FK).
