Stord Fotball

Stord Fotball was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Stord Fotball, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Stord Fotball could be found in Group 16 together with TSV Altenholz, Vake-WIT and Hisingsbacka FC. Stord Fotball continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against ES. Eysines with 0-1. In the Final, BK Häcken won over JFV Hanse Lübeck and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Stord Fotball also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2015. They reached the 1/16 Final in B18 Play off A, but lost it against Torslanda IK with 1-2. Stord Fotball comes from Stord which lies approximately 430 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Stord Fotball, the club Skjoldar IL does also originate from the area around Stord.
