Stridsklev IL

Stridsklev IL was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Stridsklev IL, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Stridsklev IL could be found in Group 6 together with Hörnebo SK, SSC Hagen Ahrensburg and Gideonsbergs IF. Stridsklev IL continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against CWSC Chelsea with 0-2. In the Final, Holmalunds IF won over Scandia United SA and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Stridsklev comes from Porsgrunn which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Stridsklev IL, the club Sandar IL does also originate from the area around Porsgrunn.
