Hässleholms IF

Hässleholms IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Hässleholms IF, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Hässleholms IF could be found in Group 36 together with Sandvikens AIK, Holler Utánpótlás Nevelési és Felnőtt Club and Tromsø IL 1. Hässleholms IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 36. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Hong Kong FC with 0-2. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Hässleholms comes from Hässleholm which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hässleholm does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: FC Hessleholm, Hörby FF, Kristianstad FC, Vittsjö GIK, IFK Hässleholm, Markaryds IF, IFK Knislinge, Vinslövs IF, Nosaby IF and Sösdala IF).
