IK Franke

IK Franke was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IK Franke, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof IK Franke could be found in Group 30 together with Winchester City FC, IL Jotun and Cumbres San Javier. IK Franke continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 30. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against IFK Lidingö FK with 0-2. In the Final, Las Vegas Sports Academy won over ED Moratalaz and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Franke comes from Västerås which lies approximately 330 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Västerås does also provide 18 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: BK Sport, Skiljebo SK, Irsta IF, Köping FF/MDFF, Västerås IK, Forsby FF, Ekeby/Rytterne, Romfartuna GIF, Eskilstuna City FK and IF Pluss).
