Shakti Sports Academy

Shakti Sports Academy was one of 9 clubs from India that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Shakti Sports Academy, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Shakti Sports Academy could be found in Group 34 together with Älvsjö AIK FF 1, Lillestrøm SK 2 and Hisingsbacka FC. Shakti Sports Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Oppsal IF with 1-10. In the Final, JSSL Arsenal Singapore won over Barkarö SK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Shakti Sports Academy comes from Mumbai which lies approximately 6500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mumbai does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Utpal Shanghvi Global School and Phoenix Sports).
