Väderstad IK

Väderstad IK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Väderstad IK, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Väderstad IK could be found in Group 37 together with Limmared/Länghem IF/Grimsås, Åsane IL and Saanich Fusion FC. Väderstad IK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 37. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against KF/Dalvik 1 with 0-6. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Väderstad comes from Mjölby which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Mjölby does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Stångebro United, Mjölby Södra IF, Mjölby AI/FF, Tranås FF and Borens IK).
